Implant design has evolved through the years from external hex connections to internal placed connections, yet we see some implant companies are more esthetically successful than others in the anterior zone. This course will explain spacing requirements and three dimensional placement, then focus on characteristics of implant design that maintain bone and soft tissue that lead to beautiful restorations. The Keystone Prima Implant System will be featured in this presentation - how to use it in everyday implant treatment planning, placement, and final restoration.
|
Successful implant therapy depends upon a sufficient volume of hard and soft periodontal and peri-implant tissue. The lack of this requirement may preclude implant placement, or may force a placement that could lead to an adverse restorative outcome. Often times the implant surgeon is faced with defects in the jaws created by infectious processes, or due to long-term tooth loss. Before consideration can be given to implant therapy, these defects require definitive, predictable management. A variety of bone grafting techniques and materials are now available to assist the clinician in management of the wide range of defects encountered. Dr. Blieden will focus on the advantages of specific techniques and materials, and also show clinical examples that demonstrate the clinical handling and suitability of these materials for both simple and complex case management. |
